Several years about my mom bought herself a Cricut. I couldn’t really wrap my head around it. I didn’t know what she was going to do with this machine and the process seemed so complicated. I quickly learned to love her Cricut Explore Air 2 and now that I have my own, I can tell you, it’s just plain AWESOME which is why I’m sharing the five things I love most about it.
5 Things I Love About the Cricut Air –
Easy to use
Like I said before, I was intimidated by the many features of the Explore Air 2 but it’s actually a very user-friendly machine! Follow the prompts to press the correct buttons at the right time, and the machine will do the rest.
To make a cut, first you’ll turn the dial to indicate which material you’ll be using, then place that material on a machine mat. Send your design to the machine from Design Space, then the arrow button will blink telling you to load the mat. After you’ve loaded the mat, the button with the Cricut logo will flash, telling you it’s time to cut!
Endless project possibilities
I enjoy crafting but, as I’ve said before, the crafts must be simple. Cricut is just the tool to create anything I’d like with very little effort. I’ve created personalized cups to a DIY Family Established Sign. No matter what you are are thinking to make, it can be done!
Portability
Cricut has totes for all of their machines – the Explore Air 2, the EasyPress and even the tools! It’s so simple to pack up your supplies, with or without the totes, and take them to your next crafting location. I take mine back and forth to my mom’s house all the time.
ready to make designs
I think creating designs can be the most difficult part of crafting with the Cricut. That said, the Cricut Design Space offers a zillion (that’s just a guess – I don’t know the actual number) ready to make designs. Just load your choice into a new project and cut!
functionality
The range of options on the Cricut is outrageous. Did you know that it can cut over 100 different materials? It’s true! To name a few, it’ll cut premium vinyl, iron on and htv vinyl, cardstock, faux leather, adhesive foils, specialty paper, poster board and more. Plus, the machine can cut up to two times faster than previous models and has plenty of storage space for your tools when they aren’t in use.
With so many great features on this smart cutting machine, it’s hard to narrow it down to my top five favorites. But if you craft, even a little bit, I’d definitely recommend buying yourself this fun machine! I think you’ll find that you spend more time getting creative.
