We are a pizza-loving family, but we rarely make our own.  So when I got the opportunity to use Pillsbury’s Artisan Pizza Crust with Whole Grain, I knew it would be a fun change!  I’ve never purchased this pizza crust, so I wasn’t sure what to expect.

I’d put “homemade pizza” on our meal plan last week so that we’d have something easy for a lazy night.  Tuesday was that night!  I had James open the tube of pizza dough (I hate the POP! it makes!) while I pulled down my cookie cutters.  The heart was on top, and it seemed like a good choice, so that’s what I picked.

I rolled the dough out (easy-peasy), cut about 12 hearts of dough and pepperoni, placed them on my pizza pan, smeared some tomato paste on the dough, added the pepperoni and cheese.  Then I baked them for about 10 minutes (less than the dough tube suggested).

*Note: You can get more than 12 hearts, but you’ll have to smoosh & roll out the excess dough.  I didn’t feel like doing that.

They were DELICIOUS and I probably should have had more than 12 for our family of 4!  I will definitely be buying more of the Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust with Whole Grains!!  But next time, I’ll use a Farmer’s Market Pizza Ideas from Pillsbury recipe!  (The Veggie & Sausage Skillet Pizza looks awesome!)

    I would definitely make the little heart pizzas you showed-those are adorable and oh so sweet. I would put pepperoni and sausage on them, with mushrooms on just mine 🙂 What a great idea-thanks for sharing!!
