Halloween can be a fun holiday – but it’s not fun for me when it’s all skulls and scary. I like the cute, artsy side of Halloween. A Sppppoookkyy Rag Wreath is a great way to infuse cute into Halloween.
This rag wreath has one set of eyes kind of semi-hidden in the fleece to show it’s ‘spooky’ side. (You could add more eyes to make it even more creepy, too!) And I used tulle to give it the feel of a spider web.
I hope you like it as much as I do!
You’ll Need:
- Five colors of fleece – I used 1/3 yard of black, yellow, green, orange and purple.
- Tulle – 1/4 yard of black
- Wreath frame
- At least 1 pair of googly eyes (with sticky backs)
- Rotary Cutter
- Self-Healing Mat
- Straight-edge (I used a yard stick.)
How-to:
- Cut the fleece into 1/2 inch by 5 inch strips. (I used a straight-edge and eyeballed it, but 0.5×5 was my goal.)
- Tie the fleece and tulle onto the wreath frame using an overhand knot.
- Place the googly eyes in a semi-hidden place on the wreath.
- Put it on your table or wreath hanger and enjoy!

That is so cute! I think my favorite part is the addition of the eyes. My daughter has requested more decorations this year so I need to get busy before Halloween.
