A friend gave me her version of Baked Sausage and Potatoes. I tweaked it and made it work for my family.
The first time I made this recipe, my husband and kids scarfed it up! I didn’t think my boys would like it but they ate one bowl and then went for more. I can’t say I blame them, though, because the potatoes are super soft and the sausage is full of flavor!
A meal that takes less than 10 minutes to prep is something I am all for! Baked Sausage and Potatoes cooks for up to an hour in the oven, but I don’t have to stand in the kitchen mixing and flipping.
Baked Sausage and Potatoes
- 1 pkg 2 links Turkey Sausage - I use Butterball everyday hardwood smoked - sliced
- 6-8 potatoes scrubbed and diced
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- Fiesta Uncle Chris Gourmet Steak Seasoning to taste
- 1 can of veggies green beans, peas, etc, drained - optional
Preheat the oven to 425°
In a 9x13 baking dish, drizzle olive oil .
Slice the turkey sausage and throw it on top of the olive oil.
Dice the potatoes and throw them in on top of the sausage.
If you are going to add veggies, drain the can and throw them in on top of the sausage.
Cover tightly with foil.
Bake for 45-60 minutes or until the potatoes are soft.
We like green beans, so I add them almost every time I make Baked Sausage and Potatoes. But if your family doesn’t like them, swap ’em out for any veggie you want or leave out the vegetables all together.
