Decorating for Halloween is fun! It’s the take-down that is time consuming and boring. I try to decorate with fun, colorful, durable pieces that are easy to put up and pack away. But sometimes, a (mostly) edible centerpiece is a fun decoration, too! I created the Skittles & Starburst Halloween Candy Bouquet as a fun addition to our decorations.
I picked up the Skittles & Starburst 30 Pack from Sam’s Club because the box is so large!
Then I gathered the rest of the necessary supplies. It took me about 30 minutes to make the Halloween candy bouquet.
What You’ll Need:
- Skittles & Starburst 30 Pack from Sam’s Club
- Vase
- Fake Flowers
- Floral Wire Stems
- Packing Tape
- Wire Cutters (to cut the fake flower & floral wire stems)
- Optional: Ribbon
Here’s How:
- Wash the vase.
- Open 2-3 packets of Skittles and fill the vase.
- Using the wire cutters, cut your fake flowers to fit the vase. (I trimmed about 6 inches off the green flowers and cut the purple flowers apart.)
- Take two floral wires (cut them if necessary), place them on the back of your candy packet and tape the wires down with packing tape. (Note: Cut the packing tape in half length-wise so you don’t see it on the Starburst). Repeat as needed.
- Put the flowers and floral wire candies into the vase. Make sure it’s not too top-heavy.
- Optional: Tie a ribbon around the vase.
Seems easy enough, doesn’t it?
I really love how the Halloween Candy Bouquet turned out, but I (almost!) don’t want to eat the candy because I don’t want to break it up! I plan on making one for each of my kids’ teachers, too!
What do you think!? Which candies would you use for the Halloween Candy Bouquet?
That’s so cute! I’d pick Skittles and something chocolate.
So pretty! I adore the purple flowers, they’re my favorite.
That is so cute. I”m not sure how long it would last before little hands started stealing all of the candy, but it’s a worthwhile endeavor.
I LOVE this! My son has nut allergies so it’s really hard to get lots of chocolate candy for him. So you can imagine how tough Halloween is. But he can have Skittles and Starbursts, and those are actually 2 of his favorite candies!!! Thanks for sharing!
Oh, that is so pretty, I just love the colors! Would make a great Halloween party hostess gift too.
TOTALLY making one of these for Midge’s teacher! Too too cute! Mine would have to have skittles and reeces pieces!
That would be so fun as a centerpiece for a party! I’ll have to try it with lots of orange and black candy for Halloween. 🙂
What a fun idea. This would make a great adult Halloween gift for neighbors.
Now there is a bouquet my husband can get me over and over again. I love skittles.
Ok, so I should totally put this bouquet together for my boyfriend. He’s always getting me flowers and I never return the favor. He LOVES Skittles so this would make his day! I love how it turned out!
That’s super cute! I don’t think it’d last long around here. But I do love how colorful and cheery it is, yet still halloween-y!
What a fun idea! I love Skittles + Starburst, and I love Halloween…so it makes perfect sense to decorate with candy. Thanks for sharing! #client
it’s really cute and can be changed for any holiday
That is the cutest thing ever. I love it.
How fun!! I look forward to the candy Halloween brings every year! 🙂
How creative and cute! Love!
What a fun & colorful bouquet to get! My kids would LOVE to attack that!
What a fun and colorful idea!
this would be a nice bouquet to give to a teacher for the holiday. Thank you for such a cute idea. Love the colors.
I love this! This is a great idea! 🙂
That is so pretty. I would do something orange to make it more Halloween-y. But I love it!
I totally love how that came out! Last year I made a Halloween display with starburst and I still have it!
