The end of the school year is a week and a half away. My boys and I are beyond excited to plan a summer full of adventure but before we do, I want to Share a Coke with the faculty and staff at our elementary school. They put in long, hard hours and I think they deserve a treat!
I attended an in-store Coca-Cola demo at my local Sam’s Club. It was there I found the 32-packs of Coke so I picked up one package. (I later went back for a second!) I also grabbed a sleeve of cups and a container of vanilla extract. I really wanted to share a Roy Rogers with the school staff but I couldn’t find grenadine so I went with the next best thing – Homemade Vanilla Coke!
What You’ll Need:
- Plastic Cups
- Cans of Coca-Cola
- Vanilla Extract
- Double-stick tape
- Scissors
- Measuring Spoon
- Ice, optional
- Individual to-go containers for the vanilla, optional
- Pretty ribbon and printable tags, optional
How To:
- In a large plastic cup, place 1 unopened can of Coca-Cola.
- Measure out 1 tbsp vanilla and put it in an individual to-go container.
- Put a small piece of double-stick tape on the can.
- Place the to-go vanilla on top of the tape.
- Print the cute tag and punch (or cut) a hole in it.
- Attach the tag to the cup.
- Share a Coke and enjoy the smiles!
I thought the individual Vanilla Coke ‘kits’ would be better for our teachers. But if you don’t want to bother, just put out the 32-package of Coke, vanilla extract, measuring spoon and cups. I am sure it’ll be appreciated either way!

I would share with the 6 teachers my girls have right now. They are amazing dedicated people and I would love another opportunity to thank them.
