You may remember that my family and I took the #21DayChallenge with Listerine.
The challenge wasn’t bad! The hardest part for me was getting the floss between my tightly-packed teeth, but I at least tried twice a day! If you aren’t currently a twice a day brusher, flosser and mouth-washer, my best advice is to make it a habit. Make yourself a check-list until it becomes habit to get in there and do it without any reminders.
Did you know that by using LISTERINE Antiseptic mouthwash twice a day for 30 seconds, you can clean almost 100% of your mouth?! In fact, you can get:
- Up to 5 times healthier gums in 2 weeks
- Up to 9 times healthier gums in 4 weeks*
And, the makers of Listerine know that users will feel a difference, or their money back**!!
Oral Care Tips for Kiddos:
- Make them feel good about what they are doing.
- Teach your kids why brushing their teeth is a good thing to do!
- SHOW your kids how to brush correctly and when to do it, rather than trying to tell them.
- Make oral care FUN – use rewards (stickers and/or praise), music to brush and rinse to, etc. (Note: brushing should last 2 minutes and rinsing should last 1 full minute.)
- Let your kids decide which colors and flavors they want to use. As with most things, if they have a say in it, they are more likely to use it.
Did you know that 42% of children have tooth decay by the time they reach 11 years old?!
Here’s a video of my {almost} 9-year-old brushing his teeth:
I am loving the way my mouth feels now! Though, I really had to get used to the toothpaste because it wasn’t nearly as “foamy” as my previous brand. As I said before, we got a BOX of products for this challenge. I love the Reach Total Care Dental Floss, the Listerine UltraClean (Fresh Citrus) Antiseptic Mouthwash, and (now that I am used to it) the Listerine Whitening Original Gel Toothpaste! The floss is easy to use and I like the control it gives me. The mouthwash smells like oranges and I like it better than a minty rinse. The toothpaste makes my mouth feel cleaner than it has in a long time!
About the Challenge:
The goal is to establish good oral care habits by incorporating brushing, flossing and using mouthwash twice a day to improve our oral health. We will be using the Listerine UltraClean mouthwash in addition to other Listerine products.

Those statistics are so sad especially because a trip to the dentist is SO expensive most people just put it off. I am working with my kids to get in the habit of flossing. Easier said than done but we are working on it!
