Kids in the Kitchen is a new weekly series brought to you by Look What Mom Found … and Dad Too, Frosted Fingers and myself! It’ll showcase all the ways kids can be involved in meal planning, shopping, preparing and cooking. Each week we will ask that you share your stories, recipes and pictures that involve your kids in the kitchen.
Kids in the Kitchen is about more than just letting our kids mix cake batter or cookie dough; let them explore by measuring, chopping, tasting new flavors, etc.
Did you know that kids are more likely to eat new foods if they are involved in the preparation? It’s true! Teaching them how to cook and move their way around the kitchen are skills your children will use for a lifetime. These kitchen skills will help foster independence, self reliance and self-confidence.
