I am a sucker for Rice Krispies Treats. But when my local grocery store was OUT of Rice Krispies, I decided to buy Trix cereal. A few days ago, I was ready to make the Trix Treats. I asked the boys to help me make a treat. James said no but Colin was willing to help as long as he could have some of what he made!
Colin stirred and poured. He was a great helper!
Kids in the Kitchen: Trix Treats

- 1/2 stick butter
Instructions
-
Melt butter in a large pan.
-
Add the entire package of mini marshmallows and mix with the butter until they are pretty gooey.
-
Stir in the Trix cereal until it's all covered in marshmallow.

-
Cut and ENJOY!

I sure wish my brain worked that way. To be able to change something up for the better on the fly like that. I think that those are no doubt much prettier and more flavorful than plain Rice Krispie Treats. I used to make them all the time for my son when he was little. I still make them when he comes to visit so next time I’ll surprise him with these! He loves Trix!
