I very rarely plan breakfast or lunch. James usually eats oatmeal for breakfast and takes a wrap & veggies for lunch. Colin and I have to figure out what we are going to eat every day for each meal. It’s really tiring!
Earlier this week I was going to make grilled cheese sandwiches, but Colin wanted something different. He asked for a peanut butter and honey sandwich. I told him that was fine, but he had to make it.
He got out the bread, peanut butter and honey. I put the peanut butter on a butter knife and Colin spread it around. I finished spreading it so it was a little more even across the bread and then drizzled the honey.
I added grapes to his plate and he enjoyed lunch. He actually ate TWO sandwiches (we use one slice – folded in half – for his sandwiches)!
What is your kiddos’ favorite sandwich?
Did you have fun in the “kitchen” this week? Did you try a new food or a new kid friendly restaurant? Did your little ones use their snacks to count to 10? We invite you to share your experiences, photos, stories or recipes that include your #kidsinthekitchen!
Come join me and my co-hosts, Melinda at Look What Mom Found, Paula at Frosted Fingers and Sarah of Play2LearnWithSarah, each week by linking up a post, new or old, that features the theme Kids in the Kitchen. It doesn’t matter what you are doing as long as you are doing it together, enjoying it and learning something along the way.

My oldest eats peanut butter and honey sandwiches too…EVERY SINGLE DAY! He still needs to work on his sandwich making skills…usually rips the bread.

Colin rips the bread sometimes, too. Today we got lucky!

His little face is soooo cute 🙂 My kids love making Peanut butter and anything sandwiches. My oldest prefers just “nutella” sandwiches though LOL
