My boys and I spent the week visiting my sister & her family (in Dallas). We got home late Thursday evening and I had no motivation to write this post. But today is a new day!
James, Colin and I decided to make my favorite dessert {well, one of them} for tonight – BROWNIES!
(My mom makes the best brownies from scratch, but I just cannot duplicate them so I usually use a box.)
What’s your favorite dessert?
Did you have fun in the “kitchen” this week? Did you try a new food or a new kid friendly restaurant? Did your little ones use their snacks to count to 10? We invite you to share your experiences, photos, stories or recipes that include your #kidsinthekitchen!
Come join me and my co-hosts, Melinda at Look What Mom Found and Paula at Frosted Fingers, each week by linking up a post, new or old, that features the theme Kids in the Kitchen. It doesn’t matter what you are doing as long as you are doing it together, enjoying it and learning something along the way.
- preparing healthy snacks
- having a tea party
- counting skills with m&ms
- pouring from measuring cups
- discovering a local restaurant that your kids love
- creating new family friendly recipes
Don’t have a blog? That’s ok! Just share an Instagram photo or Facebook update.
yummy! I want some. 🙂
Those look pretty good!
Did y’all have fun in Dallas? We went a couple weekends ago and went to Legoland! The boys loved it!
Yea, we didn’t do much this time – a little shopping & LOTS of swimming. We did Legoland last summer and it was fun!
Looks like the kids enjoyed it.
I’d put a big scoop of ice cream on top!
Me too! But the boys like ’em plain! (We did add marshmallows & toffee bits to these, though.)
Brownies are so yummy! I don’t think I know anyone who actually makes them from scratch. They must be amazing!
When Mom makes them, I can eat the whole pan – ALONE! I’ll get the recipe and have her make some so I can post it!
Yum yum!!
Those brownies look really good!
looks good!
Looks so yummy!
How fun! Now add some ice cream and they’d be gone in a night at our house 🙂
I love brownies from the box no shame in that they are my favorite! My kids love making them too!
Yum – my daughter adores brownies!
Oh yum! Ooey gooey brownies are the only way to have brownies.
I should get the kids to help me in the kitchen more often!
Brownies are right up there with my fave dessert! Yum!
My mom always made real dry brownies. So I never really loved ’em. Until I had some moist, gooey ones years later and fell in love. These look heavenly!
