This week Paula, Melinda and I decided to play with our food! We decided we’d make something fun out of what we had on our plates. Except, James turns 9 this weekend {NINE! How is that possible?! I just don’t know. Anyway …} so I did mine with a Pinterest-inspired cake!
James wanted a camping-themed party. I found the COOLEST Campfire Cake (WorkmanFamily is awesome!)!! I knew right away that was the one, but I also knew I didn’t want tissue paper in the middle of it so I’d be creating something a little bit different.
Colin helped me with the brownie base.
I frosted it.
James helped with the graham crackers.
Then I finished decorating it after the kids were in bed (mostly so James would be a little surprised at his party).
Happy 9th birthday, Bub!!

When I saw that cake on your WW post I was really hoping you’d say how you made it- it’s SO cute!
Sara Phillips says
SO easy! I linked it, but it wasn’t mine and I didn’t change it, so I didn’t feel it was right to post it. (Brownie baked in a round pan, covered in chocolate frosting, graham cracker crumbs, peanut butter M&Ms and Twix bars!)

Such a cute cake to make with the kids… well, I stink at decorating, so it would be a good one for me too…lol.
