A few days ago I saw a recipe for Bacon Cheeseburger Eggrolls. I knew they’d be something the boys would enjoy making AND eating! So when I went shopping, I picked up what we would need.
I used:
1/4 Green Bell Pepper (diced finely)
1/4 cup Onion (diced finely)
1 lb. Hamburger Meat
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Eggroll Wrappers (10)
(Bake at 350 until golden brown – about 25 minutes!)
I cooked the green pepper & onion with the hamburger meat, drained it and then put it in a bowl so the boys wouldn’t have to worry about the hot pan.
**Note: The boys made 2 each, but they were S-L-O-W, so I finished up so we could actually eat! đ
They had a great time filling, rolling and sealing the eggrolls. They couldn’t wait to eat them!
We dipped our cheeseburger eggrolls in french onion dip, but you could use ketchup, mustard or whatever you’d like!! After they were cooked and served, all the men in my house said they were “too crunchy” … so I’ll shorten the bake next time I make them!
Here’s a quick video on how to wrap eggrolls:
If your kids could make any kind of eggroll, what would kind would they make?

Oooh – I bet my picky eaters would love those…. and love to help make them.
We just got my 4-year-old an apron and a set of kid-sized kitchen utensils. Now, if we could just get him to stop eating all of the ingredients before they make it into the oven. đ
That’s great (even if he does eat ’em before they make it to the oven)!
YUM! going to try this one day!
