There are four rescued cats living in my home – Frank, Slim, Louie and Mordu – and I couldn’t imagine life without them! They all have quirks that make them special to our family. I would love to adopt more cats but my husband is just not going for it so instead, I find other ways to help shelter cats. Did you know that when you purchase a green jug of Cat’s Pride ® Fresh & Light®, you are helping the Litter For Good™ initiative.
For every green jug purchased, another pound of litter is added to the total amount donated. You can also help by signing up for the free Cat’s Pride Club and nominating your local shelter to receive a litter donation. Animal shelters have a large need for donations to keep their hard work focused on getting animals into loving home.
While we didn’t adopt any of our cats from shelters, we did give them homes so they wouldn’t end up there! Frank was found as a kitten at a friend’s house but they aren’t ‘cat people’ so I talked my husband into adopting him. Found in my mom’s yard as a kitten to a stray, I couldn’t turn Slim down. My husband’s co-worker needed to get rid of his pets for his son’s sake so we adopted Louie. These three cats are fairly calm and easy going.
Mordu has the most interesting story since he came to us all the way from Iowa. He was found, abandoned, before his eyes were open. Taken in by a friend and bottle-fed for 6 weeks, she shared pictures of him from the very start. I was ready for a new kitten so after some convincing, my husband agreed we could give this one a home. I was headed to Dallas and my friend’s husband was going to be there the same weekend, so I met him to pick up Mordu and bring the new kitten home. Now three years old, Mordu is rambunctious and full of energy. He likes to walk on the curtain rods, sleep on the top bunk bed in my son’s room and ‘catch’ the water in the sink when I run the dishwasher.
Buying Cat’s Pride is one of the better things I can do for my cats and shelter cats across the country. Join the Cat’s Pride Club for valuable coupons and incentives throughout the year, as well as updates on the program donations and shelter highlights.

Yep – one for each of us! haha! Frank belongs to the hubs, Slim likes Kid1 the best, Louie has been claimed by Kid2 and Mordu is mine.
