With summer coming to an end, my family and I have been thinking about how we will say sayonara (goodbye) for the time being. Ultimately, we decided nothing could be better than a Hawaiian-themed movie night! I felt like the night would be a total flop without a special snack. Since my idea for 4-ingredient Hawaiian Meatball Appetizers was fairly last-minute I headed to Walmart since I could get everything we’d need – including the movie. Which Farm Rich product would you use in your Farm Rich contest entry? (More info at the end of this post!)
The Hawaiian Meatball Appetizers took less than 30 minutes to throw together – the longest part was cutting up the pineapple. And then we were ready for the night!
Hawaiian Meatball Appetizers
Ingredients
- Farm Rich Original Meatballs
- Fresh Pineapple cubed
- Fresh Jalapeno sliced
- Your favorite BBQ Sauce
Instructions
-
Cut up the pineapple and dice into about 1" cubes.
-
Preheat the oven ask directed on the Farm Rich Original Meatballs packaging.
-
Put meatballs on half of the baking sheet and add BBQ sauce. Add the cubed pineapple to the other half of the baking sheet.
-
Bake meatballs (and pineapple) as directed on the Farm Rich packaging.
-
While you wait, thinly slice the jalapeno.
-
After everything is cooked, add more BBQ sauce (if desired) to the meatballs.
-
Now it's time to load the toothpick or short skewer.
-
Put the jalapeno on first, stab the pineapple and then the meatball.
-
Serve and enjoy!
We watched Lilo & Stitch, munched on Hawaiian Meatball Appetizers, sipped on Island Punch and enjoyed mini pineapple upside down cakes. It was the perfect end to the last few lazy days of summer!
How would you use Farm Rich products to create a snack hack?

Then enter the Farm Rich Back Your Snack contest which launched on 8/1! The contest closes on 8/23 and one winner will receive $10,000. Please note that the main focus for judging criteria is quality of recipe and use of required ingredients, not quality of imagery submitted. For all of the details, check out the rule book.
You’ll be able to find the demos of the semi- finalists on 9/19 and 9/20, and the finalists on 10/9 and 10/11 at certain Walmart locations.

Pineapples and BBQ sauce go so great together! That sweet and spicy combo is just right for a summer evening. These are perfect for game day too since they can be finger food – putting it on my list for those football Sundays!

Hmmmm…I’m not much of a spicy person so I’m really curious about this recipe but know my family would LOVE it!
