One morning I was standing in the shower thinking about my meal plan for the week. I do my best thinking in the shower, so this wasn’t an unusual occurrence. My family really enjoys No-Boil Baked Ziti but we’ve had it at least three times a month since summer started.
I needed wanted something new to add to our meal rotation. My only major requirement is that whatever it is, it’s simple. The baked ziti I mentioned above is beyond easy so I decided I’d change it up. And that’s how One Pot Baked Alfredo was created.
I purchased all the ingredients, found my taste-testers (part of my church family!) and made my first batch of One Pot Baked Alfredo. I’d have to say it was a big hit. Some of the kiddos went back for seconds. One kid has begged his mom for the recipe a few times because he would really like to eat it again.
I don’t think you’ll regret making this meal!
Easy One Pot Baked Alfredo {#Recipe}
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. 12 oz uncooked noodles
- 1 pkg. 16 oz cottage cheese (I use 4% milk fat, large curd)
- 1 pkg 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 jar 16 oz Ragú Alfredo (any variety)
- 16-20 oz. water - until all the noodles are barely covered. I reuse the Ragú jar instead of measuring.
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°
-
Dump all ingredients in a 9x13 baking dish. (I mix everything but the water together. Then I add the water to make sure I haven't used too much.)
-
Mix until everything is well combined.
-
Cover with foil and put in the oven.
-
Bake for 45-60 minutes.
-
Serve and ENJOY!
Recipe Notes
*You could roast veggies and throw them into the dish before baking.
*You could also throw in some chicken.
*Elbow noodles cook a little faster than Rotini noodles so I would check them before you serve.
So if you have you ever had one of those nights where you just want to sit down and not even think about anything else, One Pot Baked Alfredo is your meal!

Would have to say that never tried it with cottage cheese… has to be healthier … would love to try it out. Looks good. Must say that we do not usually choose the bowtie, but will try with it
You can use whatever noodle you want! But egg noodles take less time to cook, so check it at about 30 minutes.
Awesome, we always like to try new things. Will we probably be experimenting with the different types of pasta

I love that you used cottage cheese. This looks so darn good!

I love making one pot recipes. This looks so creamy and delicious!
That looks so good! I’ve never made my own alfredo before!
This kind of cheats because of the pre-made sauce. But, homemade alfredo is delicious! My father-in-law used to make it.
Okay, obviously I am having a major senior moment with this recipe. Are the noodles (uncooked) mixed in with all the ingredients and the water added last?
Thanks! You bet I’ll try this, but probably on a colder day. This is my kind of comfort food!
Yes, uncooked. (You aren’t the only one. I’ll fix that in the directions!)
I add the water last just so I don’t add too much.
That sounds like my kind of easy, delicious dinner!
Oh this looks really good! I love how easy it is for those busy nights! I pinned so I can make it soon! YUM
That looks delicious.I bet this would be good with chicken breast in it also for a main dish!

I’m always looking for simple dishes that my picky eaters will enjoy, and I think this will be a winner! Pinning so I can find it later. Thanks!
THIS…. makes me want to abandon Whole30 for a day LOL Yum.
NO!! You are doing AWESOME! Can you make this Whole30 somehow?!
My son would love this. He enjoys anything alfredo. Thank you for sharing.
Most foods taste better having been baked in the oven. We make a lot of casseroles for that reason.
I love alfredo, especially with broccoli and some grilled chicken. I would have to add some to this. Great dish!
This looks good and would be terrific when it gets chilly outside and you want something warm in your tummy. I havent tried one pot alfredo but I would llike it.
I like that its all cooked in one pan. I have never made a dish like this without cooking the pasta first. It looks good and easy to make.
Can you make this without the cottage cheese? I don’t have cottage cheese or ricotta on hand and am wondering if the dish will still work without that added in?
Thank you
I haven’t tried it, but I would think that it would be fine without.
this recipe looks awesome and I’m looking forward to trying it. I love one pot recipes!
This looks delicious. I wish I had the items I need to make it right now. YUMMY
