**Full Disclosure: I received the Craftsman trimmer for review purposes. No other compensation was received. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
We are a Craftsman-loving house. If you look through the garage, you won’t find much else. My husband has a Craftsman weed whacker – and actually, it’s the same model (just an older version) as the one he was sent to review. He was excited to compare them and test the newer model.
About the Craftsman 15″ 5.5 Amp Electric Weed Trimmer:
Forget about running back the garage for another battery, or trying to get that tired pull-start going, just plug-in your power cord and get trimming! Featuring rapid 8000 rpm rotation, this weed whacker makes short work of even the toughest brush, and drawing its power from the grid so you don’t have to haul around heavy batteries or engines that cough out black smoke. Just hook your extension cord into the specially designed cord retainer and get the yard cleaned-up fast.
Adaptive to many tasks, this Craftsman 15 in. Electric Weed Trimmer features 180 degree rotation and a three-position pivoting head that will help you take on tasks like edging sidewalks, clearing garden beds and getting to those tough-to-reach areas that weeds and grass love to grow in. With durable .065 inch cutting line, your trimmer line will last longer, while the 15 inch cutting path takes down wide swaths of weeds and over growth in less time than smaller weed trimmers. And built to give you the perfect fit, the telescoping shaft and adjustable handle let you tailor this weed whacker to what works best for you.
What the hubs thought (in his words):
- The handle is fully adjustable and you can set it however you want. It’s a good thing so you can balance it nicely for you to operate.
- The shield is bigger than my other trimmer, which made it difficult to get behind and around some things (the kids playscape).
- I like how the electrical cord plugs into the base of the handle as opposed to a cord hanging off of the trimmer.
- This trimmer seems quieter than my other.
- It’s smoother than the other trimmer which makes it easier to operate for a longer period of time.
**Note: J did not ACTUALLY use the trimmer. It was not plugged in while he was holding it.
