The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays – the colors, fireworks, everything the day means – it’s all so special! Decorating for the 4th isn’t hard for us, because it is the everyday decor at my house. But adding something new or changing some of my decorations is fun. Hello, rag wreath!
I’m obsessed with them! Rag wreaths are so cute, you can customize them however you want and they are simple to put together. Here’s the one I made for the Fourth of July.
You’ll Need:
- Three colors of fleece – I used 1/2 yard of red and blue and 1/4 yard of white.
- Wreath frame
- 3″ Wooden Star (painted yellow)
- Hot glue (&gun)
- Rotary Cutter
- Self-Healing Mat
- Straight-edge (I used a yard stick.)
How-to:
- Cut the fleece into 1/2 inch by 5 inch strips. (I used a straight-edge and eyeballed it, but 0.5×5 was my goal.)
- Tie the fleece and tulle onto the wreath frame using an overhand knot.
- Hot glue the star only the fleece.
- Put it on your table or wreath hanger and enjoy!
