My boys don’t mind shopping for new school supplies but they absolutely dread shopping for new clothes.  I should be thankful, right?  Because it’s a lot easier for me to run into OshKosh B’gosh and pick up what they need – except it’s really not.  Odds are if I buy one size, they’ll need the next size up.  If they go with me, I have to listen to them whine.  But if they don’t go with me, I have to run back for an exchange in this 100+ degree heat!

A few weeks ago, I decided to gamble.  Jeans are a back-to-school essential and they were on sale for $12 a pair so I went to OshKosh B’gosh all by myself.  My boys have drawers full of clothes (that still fit) so they didn’t need a ton.  I picked up jeans and sweat pants for each kid and then a pair of shorts and a long-sleeved shirt for Colin.  Then I went crazy and found lots of great pieces for my niece.  (She was visiting, so I didn’t want to leave her out!)

I was excited for all three of them to model their clothes.  They lacked the same enthusiasm but I bribed them and that worked.

James loves these sweat pants because he ‘feels lazy’ in them.  I bought them because I thought they’d be great for our South Texas winters.  I also thought they would work well for a road trip we have planned.  Colin’s jeans are a little long, but they fit nicely in the waist.  His shirt is a little big but by the time he is able to wear it (2 months from now), it’ll fit perfectly.

I showed my niece how she could change the look of the hot pink leggings.  We paired it with a long tunic and she wore the leggings as pants.  Then she changed into a regular shirt and pulled the leggings to they looked like capri pants.  I tried to convince her to let me have the leggings, but she told me I couldn’t fit in them.

OshKosh B’gosh wants all kids to have what they need for school, from blue jeans to books!  That’s the inspiration behind the nation launch of the “B’gosh Jeanius Campign.”

• All denim donated from July 28 through September 16, 2015, will be delivered to local children in need through K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers, while cash donations will be dispersed to local DonorsChoose.org.
• The Carters Charitable foundation will match all cash donations up to $50,000 and all denim donations with a new item of clothing.
