James heads back to school today … and I am not sure I am ready for summer to be over. He is excited about it, though, and because he’ll be growing and learning (from someone other than me) I am happy James is ready. But I don’t like that we have to get up SO EARLY to get him to the bus on time.
I have managed to take first day of school photos every year since James was in Kindergarten. But if you were to look through my photo files, you probably wouldn’t be able to easily identify what grade he was in that year. Luckily for us, Hallmark has the Pics ‘n’ Props School Days Activity Kit! Now when James looks back through our abundance of photos, he will know which grade he was in for those photos!
I like sending little notes in James’ lunch box. I feel like it makes him feel special, but it also makes me feel like I am doing something right. In years past, I’ve just written my notes on the sandwich baggie. But this year, Hallmark has provided me (us) with a large selection of cards!
Hallmark’s selection of Back to School cards include:
SO SO Happy™ Greetings: Hallmark’s new line of SO SO Happy greetings help moms connect with their kids in a way they understand and appreciate. From Taco to Tribe, a variety of adorable characters inspire and celebrate positivity, acceptance and love — attributes especially important during the school year. Cards even include fun surprises for kids like shoelaces, key chains and more.
Kids Encouragement Greetings: Whether it’s a new social situation, a test, first game of the year or any day of the week, sometimes kids need a confidence boost. These cards feature kid-appropriate topics to help encourage the special kiddos in your life.
Back-to-School Greetings: The newest back-to-school greetings feature furry friends to help you say “Go get ‘em!” to the kiddos in your life.
Do you do anything to make your kid(s) feel special in the weeks and months after school starts? Tell me about it!
Keeping James motivated and encouraged by doing something as simple as sending a card in his lunch box makes everyone happy. I mean, if someone left a card laying around for me, I know I’d feel better because of it!
