**Full Disclosure: As Sea World’s VIP guest, my husband and I received free admission to Howl-O-Scream, a Quick Queue pass, and dinner. All opinions are my own.
When the kids got home from school, I dropped them off to spend the night with Grandma & Geezer. Then the hubs and I headed over to Sea World San Antonio to check out this year’s Howl-O-Scream: ‘CURSED.’

We started with dinner at Fright Feast: Cirque du Soulless. It was a really fun experience! The show is definitely more funny than creepy, though, and showcases a variety of talents and skits.
Come one, come all, to the most peculiar show on earth! Wonder and fright mingle right before your eyes as you savor, perhaps, your last meal while astounded by a most extraordinary troupe of entertainers. Menu includes seared tenderloin, crab ragout, a variety of sides, dessert and more.
You’ll need reservations for Fright Feast: Cirque du Soulless – $49 per person meal (and park admission, if you don’t have a season pass).
If you recall, I’m a BIG ‘ol scaredy-cat!! This year was no different. But waiting at Blood Thirsty for the sun to go down made me a little more anxious than I could have anticipated. When it was (finally) dark, we made our way to the newest maze – ICU: Intensive Cursed Unit. It was like walking though an ancient, abandoned hospital – which I have never done – with ghost and zombie doctors and patients. I could not get out of there quick enough!
Then we headed over to Prey. I remember this one – last year I had a panic attack in the middle of the maze. There is one part of the maze where you have to go through this super tight space. I just could not (would not!) do it. Again, I couldn’t wait to get to the end of the uneven, wooded path.
My husband and I may have been on date night, but we had friends (with their kids) in the park. It was my out. I felt like, because I did all five mazes last year, two was plenty! So the hubs and I ducked out of the Terror-tories and spent some time with friends. All in all, it was a great night!
And if you enjoy being scared, Howl-O-Scream is the place for you!
Friday, September 26 was opening night for Sea World San Antonio’s Howl-O-Scream. Howl-O-Scream starts at 7pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It closes at 11pm on Friday & Sunday and at midnight on Saturday. Howl-O-Scream is NOT recommended for kids under 13, so please don’t take them! The scare level is not intended for small kids! Howl-O-Scream is included with your park admission. If you don’t have a Season Pass or Fun Card, admission is just $55 for adults and $45 for kids.

Oh my gosh. It sounds fun, but I think the maze and the ICU unit would have completely creeped me out too!
