**Full Disclosure: I test-drove the 2016 Kia Optima SX Turbo for review purposes thanks to Drive Shop. No compensation was received & all opinions are my own.
The Snow White Pearl 2016 Kia Optima SX Turbo was delivered to my house just before the rain started. Of course, it never fails to rain the week I have a review car and this week was no different.
My husband and I decided to take the kids and escape the rain. We piled in the Optima and headed to my sister’s house. The Kia Optima was incredibly fun to drive. It has amazing get-up-and-go! I tried the different driving modes and could really feel a difference between the three (normal, sport and economy). Sport was far and away my favorite of the modes!
The interior of the Kia Optima was luxurious and beautiful. The black interior with red stitch accents on the red leather seats were stunning. Not only was it gorgeous, the interior was comfortable, too!
My absolute favorite feature on the Optima were the seat settings! I loved not having to figure out where I had my settings prior to my husband sitting in the driver’s seat.
The boys loved having an arm rest with cup holders – and I loved that it kept them from reaching each other too easily!
This Kia Optima was an SX Turbo. I had no idea what the Turbo was supposed to do or how it would feel before driving this car. If you’ve never experienced turbo, I want to try and explain. Turbo uses the exhaust to burn more fuel per second. I expected it to be loud and obnoxious but it wasn’t. There wasn’t any more noise than driving a regular car. When you’re driving the Optima and the turbo kicks in, it’s just a boost of power. I thought it was exhilarating and fun!!
