Cute elf. I must admit that I have no clue what the Elf on a Shelf thing is for, or what it does, or really its purpose. I have an Advent Calender, that’s about all I can handle.
The elf is supposed to “watch” your kids to make sure they behave. He reports back to “Santa” on a nightly basis & when he returns, he is semi-hidden in a new place. I haven’t read the book, or watched the movie, but I like the idea behind it! 🙂
I’ve been debating doing an Elf on the Shelf type thing.
I like this one because he is CUTE and not too expensive. (I don’t understand paying $30 for one!)
We’ve never tried the Elf thing but I’m think maybe next year…and yes with a cute Elf like Elk!
We just got our elf and haven’t put him out yet. I am thinking this weekend!
He is cuter than the elf on the shelf, but we have the elf on the shelf any way. The boys love him.

we have an elf but don’t do elf on the shelft – my daughter calls it an Elk too!
