The day they arrived, Colin couldn’t wait to see what was in the box so we opened it up. Before I knew it, he’d eaten 1/2 a bag of the Vanilla Bean Granola Chips without sharing ANY! I talked him into letting me have ONE and then we saved the rest of that bag for James.
Willamette Valley Granola makes and sells Vanilla Bean, Wild Berry, Butter Pecan and Honey Nut granola chips. They are all super yummy, but if I had to pick JUST ONE to eat for a month or so, it’d be the Honey Nut!
About Willamette Valley Granola:
Willamette (Wil-LAM-it) Valley, Oregon. With our love for nature, fertile soil and active lifestyles, it’s practically the birthplace of granola. We should know; we’ve been making it since 1973. Now even we’ll admit we’ve outdone ourselves. We’ve packed all the things we love about granola into a delicious snack for healthy folks on the go. We use only all natural, non-GMO ingredients carefully crafted into a delicious, good for you snack.
100% Delicious • 100% Natural • 100% Fun
My (our) Opinions:
Vanilla Bean – I enjoy all things vanilla, so this granola chip is no different! However, I don’t really care for the taste of Stevia, and I can taste it in the aftertaste of this chip. Don’t get me wrong, I still eat this flavor! It’s not enough to keep me away!
Wild Berry – My husband says these taste like Crunch Berries (you know, the cereal) and I tend to agree! They are just delicious!
Butter Pecan – I am not a fan of pecans (or nuts in general). This flavor isn’t bad, it just wouldn’t be my first choice.
Honey Nut – Hands down, far and away, my FAVORITE flavor!! It’s kind of like Honey Nut Cheerios wrapped up in a granola chip. SO perfect!
What I LOVE:
- I LOVE that I can throw a bag of Willamette Valley Granola Chips in my purse, and always have a healthy snack with me.
- That the bag is resealable.
- It’s a snack we ALL enjoy!
- The Granola Chips are very easy to eat.
- When I first received the samples, I was not able to locate the granola chips in stores near me. That has recently changed!! I love that I can give my kids a healthy snack that they love!
- I would like to see them in larger bags!
- YES, YES, YES!!!

Crunchberries cereal is one of my favorites. Until I read that, I would have sworn the Butter Pecan would have been my first choice, but now…
and yes, save the planet, make larger bags!
~Side note: I love seeing all these more natural type foods I’ve never heard of before popping up on blogs all over the place. I’ll bet I’ve learned about at least a half dozen different products in the last two days that are on the “no GMO, no artificial ingredients” bandwagon and I am thrilled because it seems like people are finally listening. The combination of blogs and social media has completely changed how I learn about new products. I think bloggers reach readers more quickly than traditional advertising. I also love it when bloggers have additional family members offer their opinions, because it’s nice to see what kids think of it, or what a man has to say about it, etc., helps me when I’m making purchasing decisions for others in my household.

I would be most interested to see HOW THICK these are? are they thin like a chip? or thick more like a cookie?? I can’t imagine what they must be like actually .. are there quite a few crumbs in the bag? Sounds pretty good… just so many questions on a new product like this and I order from a co-op so i don’t have the chance to look at it before i buy – or even see the ingredients, which i am TRYING to do now… !

And, they aren’t too thin, maybe about 3 thin potato chips thick? (Does that make sense?) But definitely not as thick as a cookie.
