It’s crazy how quickly time moves. Christmas is just a week away. Before you know it, we will be packing up all the holiday decorations, ringing in the New Year, partying for my birthday and then celebrating Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite days! The beautiful flowers, cards, candy and romance gets me all excited! I don’t know why as my husband is not a very romantic guy – I am lucky if he brings home a card. I usually buy myself a bouquet of flowers.
Since having kids, it’s more about making the day special for them and my husband. I buy a small present, all kinds of Valentine’s Day candy, make heart-shaped lunches, a heart-themed dinner and special drinks to go with our meals.
I think it’s fun to share my favorite Valentine’s Day candies with my kids. I enjoy picking out the Conversation Hearts with the “I love you” phrases and putting them in their lunch boxes for a surprise message! I also make heart-shaped sugar cookies and we decorate them with pink and red M&Ms.
What’s your favorite Valentine’s Day candy?
How do you make it a special day?

I saw some Valentine’s Day decor at Pier 1 today & couldn’t believe it! I am totally already looking for cute V-Day ideas though because I’m like you & like doing heart-related & themed things. 🙂
