I don’t know about you, but I love summer because my family and I can stay up late, sleep in, watch movies, have all kinds of fun and maybe take a vacation!
Last weekend, I booked a room at a local Staybridge Suites for a getaway experience with my kids.
Staybridge Suites customizes the entire hotel with a special sense of comfort and convenience in mind with an in-room kitchen, fun pool area for the kids, and suite-style rooms to give everyone in the family plenty of privacy and space.
We packed our bags and checked into the Staybridge Suites San Antonio – Airport. Once we were there, we wandered around the hotel to check out the pool, fitness center and breakfast space.
My kids really wanted to play a game of Monopoly so we put our jammies on. Next, Colin and the hubs set up Monopoly while James helped me pop the popcorn.
There was a complimentary bag of popcorn in our Staybridge Suites room. James did all the work – opening the bag, taking the glass dishes out of the microwave before popping, pouring the popcorn into a bowl and cleaning up the mess!
It was really fantastic to have a suite kitchen! It makes it incredibly easy to make dinner in your room (and save a little money while on vacation) because you have everything you need at your fingertips. There’s a sink, mini-stove, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. While we only made popcorn during this stay, I’d use the kitchen suite to make salad, spaghetti, hot dogs with mac and cheese, or other simple stove-top meals. Having a kitchen in the suite makes vacation even easier, and that is how a vacation should be!
If that isn’t enough, Staybridge Suites also has a (very impressive) breakfast buffet – everything from cereal to waffles to breakfast pizza to oatmeal and fruit. They also had a beverage station with soda, fruit juice and milk, which my kids loved!

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a Staybridge Suites before, but it’s definitely a brand that I’ll start considering when looking for places to stay when traveling.
That looks like my kind of room. I love being able to whip up something if I’d like in my hotel room. Plus, having a full size refrigerator in the room is a major bonus.
Now thats my type of hotel room! Looks comfy and cozy as home!
Having a kitchen to work with would add that extra comfort a home brings. This sounds like an awesome place!

I have never been able to stay at a Staybridge property, it seems like they’re in business areas and such. I am always for a kitchen in a suite, it’s good for long stays with family. I will be keeping my eye out the next time we book travel!
It looks like you had a fabulous mini vacation! I love suites with a kitchen! It’s a great way to save money and make meals you know your family will eat. Ah but the dishes… 😉
I love hotels that have a full kitchen like that. Makes it so much easier to stay with kids!!
I hadn’t heard of Staybridge before, but after seeing this I would definitely stay at one! I love when rooms have at least a kitchenette and I’d certainly be happy to wake up to that beverage bar.
Now I want to go on a vacation just so I can stay at a Staybridge Suite. It looks so comfortable. That breakfast would be a yummy way to start the day, too.
