UVSkinz Women’s Dress Cover-Up #Review

Summer is here – and the scorching sun in South Texas is brutal.  If you aren’t wearing (and re-applying) sunscreen regularly, your skin is bound to burn.  Not only is sunscreen important, though.  It’s necessary to combine sunscreen with sunwear, hats and sunglasses to help prevent skin damage and/or cancer.

My family and I spend a lot of time outdoors during the summer months.  I am really good about covering my kids in sunscreen, swim shirts & shorts and sunglasses.  But I am not so great about taking care of myself.  When I had the opportunity to review the UVSkinz Short Dress, it was a no-brainer!

I chose the dress in Ribbon Bloom.  I typically wear an XL, but because I wasn’t sure how this dress would fit, I ordered the 2XL.

What I Loved:

• How light-weight the dress is.
• The super comfy and cool fabric.
• The draw strings on both sides of the dress gives you the ability to tighten if you’d like to.
• Could be worn with sandals or running shoes.
• It dries pretty quickly.

What I’d Change:

• I’m glad I ordered a size larger because the dress would have been form-fitting in my regular size.
• The empire seam is too high.  It comes up over my breasts and makes it look like the dress is too small (it’s not).
• I found it difficult to tie the ties on my own.  My husband had to tie them for me.  (I think you could probably tie them before you put it on, though.)
• The slits on either side of the dress – because it’s a short dress cover-up so I don’t think it needs them.

The UVSkinz Cover-Up has been a pool and theme park lifesaver.  Even with the high empire seam, I’d recommend this dress over and over again!
