When James was little I taught myself how to save as much money as possible through the use of coupons. He and I shopped together with our coupons in hand and it was so much fun! A few years later, Colin was born and I stopped clipping coupons. Taking two kids to the store was hard enough on its own. But now, I can go back to using coupons – PAPERLESS coupons!
Walgreens paperless coupons are manufacturer eCoupons that can be redeemed when you purchase a product using your own Balance Rewards account. Scan your Balance Rewards Card (use the app or enter your phone number at the register) at checkout and the clipped coupons are applied. Sync your Balance Rewards membership to the mobile app to get started – for me, it was as easy as logging into my rewards account. Each paperless coupon can only be used once. After it’s been used, it will be deleted from your clipped coupons list.
My family and I have been trying to have as much fun as possible this summer – we’ve traveled to Houston, Dallas, the zoo, bowling alley and play dates. Gas and snacks are essential for long road trips and short quick trips alike, but they aren’t cheap! With Walgreens paperless coupons, I can save money on the snacks we want while we travel.
Last week, I installed the Walgreens app on my phone. After I logged in, I was able to select the coupons I wanted to use. I found Purell, Skittles and Pringles coupons – PERFECT snacks and supplies for our road trip box. I clipped the Wet Ones coupon, but I thought they would dry out too quickly in the car.
The kids and I had a trip to the zoo planned, so the night before I stopped in at Walgreens to pick up some snacks. With my coupons, I saved about $3!
I loaded our supplies in a shoe box and put it in the front seat of the car. The kids and I headed to the zoo – had a TON of fun – and then headed home. We ate lunch at the zoo but my kids can eat every hour, so I was grateful to have the supply box full! They munched on Pringles and Skittles during the drive home.
I really like how easy it was to ‘clip’ the coupons and save money. I will definitely be using more paperless coupons!
Have you used Walgreens paperless coupons yet? Will you?

I don’t use coupons nearly as much as I should be! I love the idea of the paperless coupons! I could probably do that!

I tried to do the paperless coupons thing once but my store that I shop at wasn’t participating. I should look again but I know it would make things SO much easier! I also love the shoebox snack box organizing idea. Thanks.

I love coupons though too many of the things I shop for don’t have coupons. But when I find the right ones I always take advantage of them. That app sounds fabulous!

Yes, having multiple kids along at the store is hard enough, adding coupons to the mix was nearly impossible for me, too! Glad this worked for you and you saved on your return trip treats. #client

I would love to use paperless coupons. Many places in my area just don’t accept them and we use CVS. If only our Walgreens wasn’t on the other side of town I would give it a try.

It’s so great that companies are making it easier for busy moms to save money. I don’t know many moms (or people, for that matter) who don’t own a smartphone, so this is perfect!
