1932 Ford Coupe – The bright canary yellow 1932 Ford Coupe was featured in the 1973 coming-of-age comedy movie- American Graffiti, starring Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Paul Le Mat and Harrison Ford. The car belonged to John Milner (Paul Le Mat) and one of the most iconic scenes in the movie was the drag race between Milner in his 1932 Ford Coupe and Bob Falfa (Harrison Ford) in his 1955 Chevy Bel Air.
1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor – The 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor is from the 1984 supernatural comedy movie- Ghostbusters, starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver. The car, known as Ecto-1, was used as transportation when the Ghostbusters team went out on their service calls through the streets of New York City. The car also appeared in the 1989 sequel- Ghostbusters II.
1963 Volkswagen Beetle – The 1963 Volkswagen Beetle was the star of the 1968 comedy movie- Herbie the Love Bug, starring Dean Jones, Michele Lee and Buddy Hackett. The car, named Herbie, was an anthropomorphic race car that had a mind of its own and was owned by Jim Douglas (Dean Jones). Herbie also appeared in the 1974 sequel- Herbie Rides Again and the 2005 remake- Herbie: Fully Loaded.
1964 Aston Martin DB5 – The 1964 Aston Martin DB5 was made famous in the 1964 spy movie- Goldfinger, starring Sean Connery as James Bond. What made this car so memorable was that it featured cool Bond gadgets like .30 caliber machine guns, a passenger ejector seat, revolving number plates and tire-shredding blades.
1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 – The 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 was featured in the 1968 thriller movie- Bullitt, starring Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn and Jacqueline Bisset. The movie features one of the most iconic car chases of all time. The chase featured Lt. Frank Bullitt (Steve McQueen) in his 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 and Phil the Hitman’s (Bill Hickman) 1968 Dodge Charger.
1977 Pontiac Trans Am – The 1977 Pontiac Trans Am was seen in the 1977 action, comedy movie- Smokey and the Bandit, starring Burt Reynolds, Sally Field and Jackie Gleason. The car was driven by Bo “Bandit” Darville (Burt Reynolds) as he leaped over brides, turned sharp corners and eluded Sheriff Buford “Smokey” Justice (Jackie Gleason), as he bootlegged Coors beer over state lines.
1981 DeLorean DMC-12 – The 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 is probably one of the most iconic cars in movie history. It was the star of the 1985 sci-fi movie- Back to the Future, starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. The 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 was the time-traveling invention of Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown (Christopher Lloyd) and was used when Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) accidentally traveled back in time, 30 years, to the year 1955. The car also made an appearance in the movie’s two sequels- the 1989- Back to the Future Part II and the 1990- Back to the Future Part III.
