**Full Disclosure: I received two registrations in exchange for this post. No other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
My sister, Becca, and I have talked about doing a color run together for about a year. The problem, though, is that she lives SIX hours away from me and we have to coordinate our insanely busy schedules to make things happen. When I was given the opportunity to do The Color Run in Dallas, I jumped at it (after I made sure it wasn’t in the middle of summer)!
Now that Becca and I have put The Color Run in our calendars, Mom is talking about doing it with us as well! I’ve done a color run before, so I KNOW how much fun they are! I can’t to make {healthy} memories with Mom and Becca this fall!
If you can come up with a team of 4 or more, it is automatically $5 cheaper! Combine that with the promo code below and you’ll save $10 on your registration fee!! How does a “Color Team” work compared with a solo runner? Pretty simple, you register as a (4 minimum/infinity max) unit rather than as an individual. You get to pick a groovy custom team name, anything from The Roy G Biv All-stars to We Sweat Rainbows. You then get to run/walk together and “help” each other get really colored up over the 5 color kilometers. There is no “relay” component and team members can finish together as a unit or separately.
The Color Run™, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community.
Less about your 10-minute-mile and more about having the time of your life, The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. The fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic “Color Festival,” using more colored powder to create happiness and lasting memories, not to mention millions of vivid color combinations. Trust us, this is the best post-5k party on the planet!
With only two rules, the idea is easy to follow: Wear white at the starting line and finish plastered in color!
Last year, I bought my white shirt at Wal-Mart for about $5. I was able to save the color in it by spritzing it with white vinegar and ironing it while it was still wet!
Which city would you do The Color Run in?!
The Color Run COUPON CODE! When you use the code COLOR5OFF, you’ll receive $5 off your registration! (Note: the promo code is only valid for cities that are not sold out.)
BUY IT! Register for The Color Run before your city sells out!

There are a few in this post: https://sensiblysara.com/2013/01/wordless-wednesday-graffiti-run-2013/ but I don’t have any pictures of after I vinegar-ironed it.
