Here in South Texas, Spring has {mostly} arrived! My boys are still wearing jeans & t-shirts, but we are just a few weeks away from shorts weather! (Temperatures here are very relative – 80 degrees in the middle of August is BEAUTIFUL weather, but the same temperature in the middle of February is SO HOT.)
While checking out Cookie’s Kids, I noticed that most of their spring wardrobe shirts are short sleeves, but the pants are long. We basically don’t have a “Spring” – we skip from Winter to Summer! Therefore, we just can’t do pants after February. I didn’t find any shorts that I thought the boys would really want, so I started looking at dress clothes!
My sister’s wedding is this weekend and we attend church every Sunday, so I wanted to find boys suits that would be sturdy, breathable and kid-friendly. I found some great options, but ended up with just dress pants and shoes for James.
When my order came, I was really excited to let the boys try on their new pants! James’ pants are a little big around the waist, but I had to order an 8 otherwise they would have been too short. Luckily, the pants I ordered came with a belt so he’ll be able to keep them up. His shoes fit perfectly! Colin’s pants fit just right, but the belt looks awkward on him.
Both pairs of pants are charcoal gray. I love the fabric – it feels nice and hopefully it’ll be sturdy enough to handle what my boys dole out.
