I know that cats don’t like to be bathed or dressed up and mine are no different, but I can’t help myself.  I feel like they want/need to be cute(r) and clean!  I don’t put them in sweaters or t-shirts because that would just be silly, but I do buy Halloween costumes hats!

When I put my cats in adorable costumes, I always follow the torture it up with a treat so they know the dress-up is done out of love.  I treat them with a plate of Sheba cat food because it’s a quality food that gives them the strength and nutrients they need.

When I brought home this year’s cat costume – the shark – I took the tag off and put it on Frank.  He was not pleased.  I think he considered chewing my arm off.

My husband and I joked that it would be much funnier if we put the hat on Frank’s rear end, but the elastic wasn’t long enough to fit around his big old wide backside!

Then it was Louie’s turn (the orange cat at the top of this post) – but didn’t care that the shark hat was on his head.  He just wanted to play with the elastic string.

Last was Beast – he couldn’t get the shark off his head quick enough.  He shook his head twice and (with a little help from me) it fell off.

But then they were handsomely rewarded with a plate of Sheba cat food!
