It’s really only cool enough for pot roast in South Texas about 2 weeks a year – but it’s such a tasty meal! I can’t help but want to make it as often as I can during the fall & winter months. The problem I have, though, is I never know what seasoning or how much to add to the delicious slow cooker meal. Kraft Recipe Makers are a perfect meal kit because all the spices & sauces are measured out and I just have to add them to the meat & veggies.
It’s been a rainy few days here and the weather is finally cooling off – so yesterday was the perfect day to throw everything in the slow cooker and make a dinner that everyone would enjoy!
Kraft Recipe Makers really are simple – as I’ve said, they come with the seasoning & sauces. Each box says what you’ll need to purchase to make the meal. For the pot roast, I needed to buy the chunk of meat, potatoes, onion and carrots. I didn’t use carrots, though, since we don’t like them cooked.
Here’s the process:
Follow the directions – but it won’t take long!
Add the roast, cut potatoes & onions (and carrots if you use them)
Pour the simmer sauce over the food. (I added water to the empty sauce bottle to make sure every last bit of sauce was in the slow cooker – but I don’t think this is necessary.)
Add the finishing sauce about 15 minutes before you are ready to serve dinner.
Then serve and enjoy!
I am all about quick family meals – and because Kraft Recipe Makers allowed me to just throw everything in the slow cooker, I was able to spend quality time with my favorite boys! Even before I’d tried the meal, I would have called it a success. My kids said they didn’t like it, but they both ate over half of the food they were served. My husband and I both thought it was so good! So after trying the meal, I called it a spectacular success!

I have been wondering if these Kraft Recipe makers are any good and if I use them will my meal taste good. It looks like they are really easy to use, and I like Pot Roast you made. It looks delicious. Thanks for the info on these recipe makers. I am going to try one.
The Pot Roast is the only one I’ve tried, but I’ll definitely be trying more!
