James, Grandma, Colin and Geezer!
I KNOW that “Geezer” is not a nice name – and trust me – it was not my idea for my kids to call him that. You should see some of the looks we get when the kids say “Hey Geez!” … it’s not something I like to explain. It sounds incredibly disrespectful, but it’s not meant that way.
Do your kids have special names for their grandparents?
We always called my dad’s mom Granny and my mom’s mom Nan. My son calls my parents Mamaw and Papaw. One of my son’s friends calls his grandma Meme….so cute right. : )
It’s funny how it changes from generation to generation – but I NEVER thought my kids would be calling my dad “Geezer!” My sister and I had a Grandma & Grandpa on one side and a Mimi and Papa on the other side.
