**Full Disclosure: This post is part of a campaign with Giants Are Small and Mom Select. All opinions are my own.
My husband and I have never pushed classical music in our home but, from what I’ve read, it’s supposed to help lower stress & blood pressure and help you smarter & more emotional. For those reasons, I want my kids to have access to classical music as often as they’d like.
How great would it be if your children could have classical music at their fingertips? What if I told you they could?! I want to introduce you to the new Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood app, an interactive musical adventure!
About Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood:
This version of the story brings Peter to Hollywood to meet his hippie grandfather while bringing classical music elements to life. Peter, along with all of the characters in the movie book, are narrated and brought to life by Rock n’ Roll legend, Alice Cooper.
The Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood app is incredibly easy to use. The main component of the app is the story and you’ll see it in the middle of the screen. You can start at the beginning or scroll through and pick your favorite part as each page is numbered. Below that, you’ll have 3 options – music, parents and bonus. When you click on music, you’ll be able to tap the images to explore the music. Moving over to the parents tab, it cannot be accessed unless you are over 18 because you can sign up for the newsletter, follow the app on Facebook and provide feedback. Moving on to the bonus tab, you can see how the story was made! My only complaint here is the video is pretty tiny and you can’t enlarge it.
This video is mostly quiet – you’ll only hear the app – but it’s a walk through of the app. (Sorry it’s sideways! I can’t get it to flip.)
The deluxe Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood app is $4.99 through the Apple Store and that includes 8 games within the story.

What a cool app! We placed classical music for the kids while they were in the womb but haven’t since, they need this!

What a cool app! We always played classical music when our son was an infant – we should probably bring back that trend!
