I was in the high school choir, but never participated in high school musicals because I was too scared that I wouldn’t get a role and/or everyone would laugh me off the stage. That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy a good musical – I do! I like the fun music and the fact that I can sing along without being (too) embarrassed.
Grease has to be my all-time favorite musical, but I also really like Camp Rock! Watching musicals with my family is something I have a good time doing. My boys and I sing the songs we know and my husband might sing a line or two.

Which Netflix musical would you watch with your family?
Were you part of any high school musicals?
Mine is Phantom of the Opera. I’ve never seen the musical or watched the DVD but I absolutely LOVE the soundtrack and have since I was a teenager. When I get a chance to relax and take a long, hot bubble bath, I always play the soundtrack.
Oh and Footloose is epic — of course I LOVE it as well. 🙂
I regret not trying out for drama in high school. I think it would have been fun! Grease is my all-time favorite movie!
I was never in a high school musical. But I would love to watch Grease again. I will have to tell my daughter that it’s on Netflix. She loves the movie also. Not so much Grease 2 though.
I auditioned but didn’t make it in our musical. I played in the pit orchestra, though.
