According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a superstition is defined as “a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, trust in magic or chance, or a false conception of causation.” The word superstition dates back to the 15th century. They believe that if they put a scratch on their vehicle, it’s no longer new and therefore reduces their chances of an accident occurring. The second is that if you scratch your car, someone else can’t do it first.
Slapping the sun visor after you drive through a yellow light – This seems to be one of the more common car-related superstitions out there. It is believed that if you slap your sun visor after driving through a yellow traffic light, it represents the triumph of passing through the yellow light without being
