Every week, my friend Krystyn (from Really, Are You Serious?) challenges moms to step out from behind the camera and capture a photo or two with their kids. She says that moms are missing from photo albums – and she is RIGHT!
Last week I was dared to post an image with 5 pictures of myself. It was HARD! I looked through all my images from May, June and July but didn’t find a single photo of myself (with or without my kids!). We went to Disneyland in April, so I was able to find a few photos.
Those two family photos are my favorites! I am going to have them made into 8x10s so I can hang them in the hall!
What do you say? Join Krystyn and I for Mommy & Me Monday?!
**Full Disclosure: I paid a conference fee to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration at a deeply discounted rate. As a part of this conference, we were provided with complimentary items, special discounts and other benefits such as food and entertainment so that we could experience the magic of Disneyland. I was not asked to blog about my experience. All opinions are my own.

I do believe that your friend is right. My son, now grown, once said the very thing when looking through albums of his life. Part of that is that I was behind the camera, the other I am very camera shy. That’s sad because I should have been more visible in the photos of memories that he was too young to recall. You are lovely and so is your family, get out from behind the camera more!

Thank you! I think the invention of the smart phone (with dual cameras) has made it so much easier for moms to be more visible.
