What do you love best about winter?
For me it’s the cool weather, hot chocolate and yummy treats.
I found M&M’s® Hot Chocolate at Walmart last week and couldn’t wait to bake a yummy treat with them. Using them to make a hot chocolate cake seemed like a no-brainer!
I also picked up a gallon of Great Value 2% milk because it contains essential nutrients and really fluffs up the cake batter.

Once I had everything ready to go, I got to work.
M&M's® Hot Chocolate Cake [AD] #BakeInTheFun
Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1 bag M&M's® Hot Chocolate
- 1 box Pillsbury™ Funfetti® Holiday Cake Mix
- 1 cup Great Value 2% Milk
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- Hot chocolate powder optional
- Frosting:
- 1 container Pillsbury™ Funfetti® Holiday Vanilla Flavored Frosting
- 1 bag M&M's® Hot Chocolate
- 1 bag M&M's® Holiday Milk Chocolate
Instructions

Preheat the oven as directed on the box.

Heat 1 bag M&M's® Hot Chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments until mostly melted.

Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth.

Grease two round cake pans.

Pour half the batter in one pan and half in the other.

Bake as directed.

Let cool.

Frost and decorate as desired.

Serve and enjoy!
MMMM!! The M&M’s® Hot Chocolate Cake was incredibly delicious! I recommend serving it warm with a big glass of milk.
Of course, if you serve the cake warm, you won’t be able to customize it with M&M’s® but it’ll still taste great!

Yum!! i not the greatest at baking but this would be a fun treat for my kids, I might have to give it a shot.
