Over Thanksgiving break, James, Colin and I went to see the Minions movie with some friends at the dollar theater by our house. As soon as it was over, the boys told me they couldn’t wait to add that movie to our collection.
Lucky for us, Minions Blu-Ray/DVD Metal Pak is available and it comes with 40 minutes of exclusive content when you purchase it at Target. The movie had a release date of 12/8/15. Because they have everything I need for a movie night, I headed to Target and grabbed Minions as well as all the ingredients I needed to make snacks.
If your family is anything like mine, your kids enjoy watching movies while you travel. Minions is a great on-the-road movie and my banana-flavored Minions Crispy Rice Treats are a delicious (only slightly sticky) snack!
Minions Banana Crispy Rice Treats for Movie Night [AD] #MinionsAtTarget
Ingredients
- 6 cups Crispy Rice Cereal
- 1 bag 10 - 16 oz. Marshmallows
- 6 TBSP Butter
- 1 box Instant Banana Pudding
- Candy Eyes
- Colored Frosting blue & black
Instructions

In large saucepan, melt butter over low heat.

Add marshmallows & banana pudding, stir until melted.

Remove from heat and fold in cereal until well coated.

Press mixture evenly onto a coated cookie sheet.

Let cool.

Cut into pill-shaped blob.

Decorate to look like a Minion.

We just got back from a short road trip but before we left, I made a batch of Minions Crispy Rice Treats, hid the movie, baby wipes & bottles of water in the car and attempted to put little snack holders on the windows. The snack holders turned out to be a complete fail but Minions Metal Pak and banana-flavored Crispy Rice Treats were a huge hit!
About 20 minutes into our trip, I pulled out the movie. James and Colin got a kick out of it! They were surprised that I’d put so much thought into the Minions-themed movie-on-the-go and can’t wait to do it again!
Target has a great selection of Minions licensed products which would be fun to use for little road trip ‘gifts.’
