I am so thankful for today – a day to remember and reflect on the men & women that gave (and continue to give) for our country. I wish I could hug and thank each one of these service members.
I am not a Veteran, but my husband is and so are many of my family members. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all that you do to keep us free. Thank you to the families of these men & women.
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
I found these images touching, and thought I’d share:
Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is formerly known as Decoration Day, originating after the Civil War to commemorate the Union soldiers who died. By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died in all wars. The first well-known observance of a Memorial Day-type observance after the Civil War was in Charleston, South Carolina on May 1, 1865. (This is from Wikipedia.)
