Have you heard of the Mamavation? It’s a group of women who support each other in their quest to become a healthier version of themselves! I’ve thought about joining for probably close to a year now.
Recently I’ve been trying to make healthier changes for myself (and my family). I’ve also been trying to lose weight in preparation for my sister’s wedding.
I, Sara, PLEDGE to support the other Mamavation ladies!!
This week: It’ll be cold this week, so I’ll be working out with the Kinect YourShape (30 minutes x 3 days) and Jillian Michaels for Beginners (45 minutes x 2 days)!
My short-term goals:
- Lose 30 pounds before the end of February.
- Walk another 5k before the end of February.
My long-term goals:
- Lose 100 pounds by October 2013.
After all, the only thing I have to fear is fear itself, right?!

Good luck with your mamavation! It’s little goals that help you reach the big ones! I am able to run a 5k now and this time last year I couldn’t. And I can also do monkey bars now, where last year I couldn’t. My next goal is Tough Mudder!

Thanks so much, Shannon! The Rock & Roll Marathon (and 1/2 marathon) registration is open – and has a $12 discount today! – so I was thinking about registering, but I don’t know if I am THAT ready yet.
