Did you know that October is National CyberSecurity Awareness Month and National Crime Prevention Month?
If you are like me, you did NOT know that October is National CyberSecurity Awareness and National Crime Prevention Month! I guess it make sense, though, as we are about to enter the holiday season. It’s the perfect time to be a little more aware of how we share our personal information online. Although, it’s my opinion that we should be aware of this year-round.
LifeLock is giving me (and one of you – more on that later!) a one-year membership plan. Here’s how it works: The membership card arrives in the mail with a member ID and a promo code on the card. You head to LifeLock and enroll by clicking the plan (my membership is for the $10 monthly/$110 annually plan) and entering your information.
What I Like:
- It took me a minute or two to figure out where to enter my promo code, but once I found that, it was easy-peasy!
- Once you start the enrollment, it only takes about 5-10 minutes to register completely!
- You’ll get an email so that you can sign in and complete your profile.
- You can have LifeLock alerts sent to your phone!
What I’d Change:
- I hate that I have to remember to cancel if I do not want to continue after one year. Odds are, I won’t remember.
- After you register, be prepared for a number of emails. I think I got at least 8 emails between enrolling and registering.
- Be prepared to fill out lots of information during the registration process. (I did not have most of it handy when I started and it made for lots of ups and downs.)

I love that they can send alerts to your phone! I don’t always answer my phone calls but I will look at a text – if it’s safe to, of course!
