Before I found Pinterest, I already had a zillion projects (baby clothes quilts, scrapbooking, etc., etc., etc.) that are either half-started or a mere thought in my head. Since Pinterest, my brain has been in over-drive and my husband thinks I’ve lost it.
My most recent project was this laundry bag … for socks!
Here’s what you do:
1. Head to Target (or Walmart) and buy yourself some lingerie bags. They were about $1.50 at Target.
2. Get some fabric markers. Thanks to Better in Bulk for this tip!! (I paid about $10 for a 6 pack at Michael’s.)
3. Let your kids decorate their bags – but make sure you but LOTS of paper under the lingerie bags.
4. Find a hanging place near your laundry basket (or pile, as it is in our house!) and fill with dirty socks.
5. Throw sock bag in the laundry, wash, dry, have your kids put their socks away, hang the bag and repeat!!
This project was super simple! It took about 30 minutes (not including the time it took to purchase the markers & bags). I ran my first load of white clothes tonight and it was AWESOME! I didn’t have to look for stragglers – every last sock was in their designated bag — I just set the bag on top of the other folded clothes and let the kids put them away!! When the kids were done putting their clothes away, the bags came back to their hangers.
I need to get my husband and I bags for our socks! I LOVE THIS! Seriously, where was this idea when I got married?!
Will you make a laundry bag … for socks? How will you hang them?
**Full Disclosure: This is a really cool idea I wanted to share with you. I was not compensated for this post.

The boys did an awesome job. What a great idea, just put dirty socks in a bag, throw the bag in the washer then the dryer and they are still all together!
