Everyday moments – true, spontaneous and imperfect – are the best part of my day. But some of these moments are downright icky, and Clorox is here to help you laugh about the messes. At least once a week, my kids help me make something in the kitchen. As you can imagine, a giant mess is left in the wake so I am grateful for Clorox products!
Recently my boys were helping me make cupcakes from scratch. I let them do most of the work – cracking the eggs, measuring the flour & sugar and turning on the stand mixer – they did a great job. But it was messy. There was egg goo all over the counter and flour & sugar strewn from one end of the kitchen to the other.
After I put the cupcakes in the oven, the boys went outside to play and I grabbed a few Clorox products to start cleaning up. Some day, they’ll have to clean their messes, but for now (even though I don’t enjoy cleaning it) I don’t mind. Cooking & baking with my kids is one of my favorite things to do. I think they enjoy it, too, and they are learning a few things along the way.
I hope James & Colin develop a passion for cooking – even if it’s just for fun. And I hope they’ll rely on Clorox products to clean up their messes!
Join me for the Clorox Ick Awards Twitter Event on April 9 from 6-10 p.m. ET! Clorox will be giving away $2,500 in prizes. To enter, follow @Clorox on Twitter and share your “icky moment” using the hashtag #ickies.

Baking with kids is such a disaster, but it’s also adorable to watch them learn the art of cooking!
