I woke up full of emotions. I am anxious, excited and a little sad. Let me explain — The last two days were beyond fantastic! I am a little sad to leave the wonderful people I met. I have had so much fun getting to know them and learning all about Kenmore with them. Flying makes me anxious. It doesn’t matter how many times I do it. Taking off, feeling the wheels “drop” out and landing always freak me out. However, I am so excited to get back to my kiddos and my husband!
I am going to have breakfast with Lolo and Ginger at The Tempo Cafe at 9. Lolo and I have to catch our shuttle to the airport at noon.
Lolo was on the 28th floor, so she took my picture from there so I could have city scenery! 😀
{A bit later …}
Lolo and I waited to get through the security line for a littler over an hour. I rushed down to my gate, checked to make sure it was the correct one (as I was set to board about 30 minutes after I got there), and then shortly after I checked, the gate changed. I had to hoof it down to the NEW gate – I thought I was going to be late – only to find out that my flight had been pushed back 10 minutes … then 15 … then 25. FINALLY I got to board the plane. And then I got to wait for another HOUR before taking off. (Apparently, O’Hare Airport doesn’t have an elevator for gate-checked bags, so they had to hand load them and it took an hour?) Anyway I landed in San Antonio just before 7pm. It was a crazy, crazy day.
Timeline –> Supposed to leave: 2:50 – Boarded: 3:15 – Took off: 4:20 – Landed: 6:55
I just can’t tell you how much fun I had!! Thanks again Kenmore!!
**Full Disclosure: I received an all expense paid trip to Chicago for the Kenmore Blogging Summit. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
