My smile doesn’t define who I am, but it sure does give me confidence! I was lucky in that I never had to have braces as a kid. As I have gotten older, my bottom teeth have started to turn a little. It doesn’t really affect me because you can’t see them when I smile.
James has a great smile – when you aren’t asking him to smile for the camera (that one is fake!)! However, when we went for his FIRST dental appointment (at 1 year old), I was told that he would {more than likely} HAVE to have braces. And all I could think was, “POOR KID!!” He is 8 now, and every 6 months, I am reminded that he will need braces. The first time I heard it, I was a little freaked out. I didn’t want him to be made fun. And I wanted him to be able to eat the foods he loves (corn on the cob). But I also don’t want him to be picked on because he has crooked teeth. It’s a hard situation, but something we will deal with sooner rather than later.
Invisalign can be started after your children have all their adult teeth, with the optimal age at eleven or twelve. The average patient will wear aligners for 20-22 hours a day for 24 months and they are changed about every 2 weeks during that time. Invisalign are braces that pop out of one’s mouth like a retainer! It allows the patient to eat without getting food stuck in their teeth which makes them the coolest thing EVER!
Invisalign has a self-assessment tool so you can see if this product is right for you!

Invisalign has worked great for a lot of people. I hope the tooth fairy can keep up with all those teeth that are falling out!

The tooth fair is BARELY hanging on! It’s a good thing there are 4.5 years between kids!
