My friend Lee from MySentimentExactLee has teamed up with Alfred Angelo to celebrate brides of all shapes and sizes. In order to do that, Lee connects women with their local Alfred Angelo store. Those women (me included!) go in, try on gowns, take pictures and then fill out a questionnaire. They are then highlighted on MySentimentExactLee.com and AlfredAngelo.com (where I am currently featured in spot number 6!).
It’s a really cool project and I was so honored to be able to participate! On the day of my appointment, I went in with a list of ideas. The stylist, Vanessa, was also the store manager and she had some great ideas of her own. I had a blast trying on dresses.
When I got married, I had a gorgeous hand-beaded (hand-me-down) corset top and I bought a really simple and inexpensive skirt to go with it.
So I never had the opportunity to try on gown after gown. I soaked in the experience.
And then I exchanged texts with my husband.
Here are a few of the bridal gowns I tried on (from my most favorite to least favorite).
I wish I had also tried on styles 2490 and 2459, but oh well!
Thanks again, to Lee and Alfred Angelo, for an incredibly fun experience!
You can see how I modeled Alfred Angelo dress #8535 and read my questionnaire at MySentimentExactLee.

So beautiful then and now! What a fun experience, I would love to do something like that. I was gifted my dress and got to choose from three… didn’t try many on so I would love an experience like this. 🙂

I never had a “Real wedding” so i didn’t have a wedding dress per-say, it was an old dress i never wore. This would be such a fun experience! The dresses look gorgeous on you, btw!

How fun! I like the 3rd dress on you, very regal. However, really liked your original wedding photo too 🙂

I was looking at the 2nd dress for myself!!! How did you think your “street size” compared to their sizing?
Sara Phillips says
I think they were pretty close! The lady helping me was really great about figuring out the sizing, though.
