I’ve never been the mom that makes cute little foods for my kids’ lunch boxes but that doesn’t mean I won’t make them for after school snack, parties or other special occasions. When I started on my journey to lose weight, I began swapping junk for other options. Mini Babybel® Cheese Jack Skellington Halloween Treats is just one way I can serve a better snack but still bring out the fun!
How to Make Mini Babybel® Cheese Jack Skellington Halloween Treats –
Supplies:
- Mini @Babybel® Cheese
- Tortillas
- Black Gel Food Coloring
- Water
- Knife or Clean Paint Brush
- Edible Writing Pen
Directions:
- Mix a small amount of water and black gel food coloring.
- Spread the black color mixture over a tortilla.
- Cut Jack ‘eyeballs’ out of the tortilla.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes, or until crisp.
- While baking the tortilla eyes, open as many Mini @Babybel® Cheeses as desired.
- Draw the Jack eyes and mouth directly onto the cheese with the edible writing pen.
- Place the eyes on the cheese as quickly as possible when they come out of the oven so as to melt the cheese just enough to make them stick.
- Serve and enjoy!
The hardest part of making Mini Babybel® Cheese Jack Skellington Halloween Treats is making the ‘eyes’ but you could skip that part if you wanted to simplify it a bit more. Just draw the eyes, nose and mouth on each cheese to save time.
