I remember watching The Smurfs when I was a kid. Grouchy and Clumsy were always my favorite. Maybe because they reminded me so much of my sister and I? In any case, it was a fun show. When the original Smurfs movie came out, my husband and I saw it on a date night. We thought it was cute, but we decided it wasn’t a movie our boys needed to watch (yet). When we started seeing previews for the Smurfs 2, we again decided it was a movie we would see without the kids. {Smurfs 2 premiered on July 31, 2013.}
We haven’t made it to see Smurfs 2 yet, but we are sure ready to see it with these Haribo Smurfs Gummi Candies!
Ok, so my Haribo Smurfs aren’t the prettiest, but my delivery man dropped them at my neighbor’s house and they were out in the 100+ degree heat for a few hours. Needless to say, they melded together and formed Smurf Suncatchers!
While we haven’t seen Smurfs 2 yet, we have been enjoying the Haribo Smurfs Gummi Candy! I took my kitchen shears and cut semi-Smurf shapes out of the candy. My kids are kind of creepy … they like to bite off the Smurf’s heads first and then eat the rest of them. They are very tasty and if you don’t watch it, you’ll eat the whole bag!
Haribo sent me more gummies:
They were just as delicious and tasty as the melted version – but much cuter!
The strawberry and raspberry-flavored gummi candies are shaped like favorite Smurf characters, including Papa Smurf and Smurfette. The gummies come in the classic Smurfs blue color, with various characters wearing red, white and yellow caps on their heads. The gummies are gluten and fat-free. Haribo Smurfs are available for sale nation-wide. The candy comes packaged in 4-oz. hanging bags at a suggested retail price of $1.09 – $1.69.
About Haribo:
Founded in 1920, Haribo is the world’s largest gummi, licorice and marshmallow candy manufacturer. Based in Germany, the Haribo name is an acronym for the company’s founder – Hans Riegel – and its headquarters in Bonn.
Isn’t every movie better when you watch it while eating candy? I think so! And when you can eat movie-themed candy, that makes the cool factor go up at least ten notches!

Poor Smurfs. They’re just no match for this Texas heat. But gummie candies are so good when they’re warm and gooey.
